India Pavilion * Digital Journey *
The digital integration strategy at the India Pavilion reimagined access, emotion, and storytelling in a high-footfall cultural environment. As Service Design and Editorial Lead, I shaped the narrative and user experience across three interconnected bilingual (English-Japanese) platforms: the Wayfinding Digital Tablets, the QR-Based Guide, and Threaded Frequencies – a digital craft interface mapped onto a multitaction table.
Together, these systems formed a modular, multilingual ecosystem of interaction—designed for engagement, inclusivity, and long-term operability through robust SOPs and a custom CMS backend.
-
To design digital systems that deliver intangible cultural stories into tactile, audible, and accessible experiences.

The Wayfinding Tablets served as a zone-wise digital directory—designed for intuitive exploration across all pavilion zones.
The QR-Based Guide offered visitors instant, mobile-first access to stories of provenance and craftsmanship embedded directly beside physical exhibits.
Threaded Frequencies—a tactile e-textile installation—merged embroidery with sound-responsive circuitry. Visitors could trigger six distinct soundscapes representing traditional crafts by lightly tapping embroidered touchpoints. The companion multitaction table provided contextual information, enhancing accessibility and understanding of this intangible heritage experience.
